I’m so proud of you my sweet bonus nephew! Continue to be the man you are and we are happy that you have achieved the goal that you have reached. You were so handsome and sweet before your wait loss now you are our healthy, sweet handsome young man. God’s blessings to you and continue your healthy lifestyle. Love you, Aunt Barb, St Louis: your bonus Aunt.
This is amazing! I have been a Registered Dietitian for 30 years. Most people are looking for magic. You did this all on your own, without surgery or medication. I think what most people are missing is what you found. Finding what motivates you, small, realistic, sustainable changes and still including foods you love! Great job! You should be really proud of your self!
Appreciate you giving this a read, Jenny! Thanks for the kind word! I’m so happy with where I’m at, and I’m excited about continuing to stay on this path 💪
This is an extremely helpful and motivating experience! Did you continue to eat 3 meals a day and just substitute one of them for the salad or was the salad all you ate?
Good question - So I still ate/eat three meals a day almost every single day, and almost always would/will work in one or two healthy snacks. I say “almost” because there are some days where I skip breakfast if I’m not working out in the morning for whatever reason.
Breakfast - banana, muesli with Greek yogurt, or an apple
Lunch - Chick-fil-A salad
Dinner - Homemade version of the Chick-fil-A salad
Snacks - baby carrots, multigrain tortilla chips with garden fresh pico, or pickles. Those are my go-tos, occasionally mix in some other stuff but those are the mains. I like the Special K crisps or 100 calorie pack of Emerald nuts if I need to grab something on the go
Also - water water water water. And I also drink a TON of 0 calorie flavored seltzer and soda water with lemon and lime
👏👏👏
Been a long time, Tom. Way to go and proud of you for writing this.
